Member-only story
You’ve gotten to a place where you’re no longer feeling “not good enough.” You’re comfortable, confident and succeeding in life. You relish in the accomplishment of being better than you were yesterday. The immense growth you see in the mirror is the same glow strangers see when you cross their path.
As we continue on to another year, on another journey, what I really want to carry onto this new year is the gift of being grateful for the Now.
What I really appreciate at this moment is being in my 20’s and learning so much through my own eyes and the eyes of others. Learning and growing from my experiences and listening to the experiences of others alike.
I can’t even imagine having my life “figured out” at this age. I’m grateful that I have no idea what the hell I’m doing. I don’t have a plan or goals or resolutions. I’m going with the flow. I find that it’s a lot easier this way.
It puts the unnecessary weight off of my shoulders. It diminishes the added on pressures I’ve put myself in for no reason. It lessens the stress that I really don’t need in my life.
I hope you get to this point if you’re not there already. The point of letting life guide you in the right direction instead of forcing all of these great goals you want to accomplish to take over and consume you because life doesn’t always work out in the way we envisioned. Sometimes it’s for the best.
Setting goals and sticking to your resolutions shouldn’t feel like meeting a deadline. Unless that’s your type of fun. I won’t judge.
