You’re not crazy, it’s just the Baader Meinhoff Effect.

Apparently, there’s a weird phenomenon called the Baader Meinhof Effect. I have never heard of this until recently and I can only imagine how many more individuals have not heard about this strange yet very interesting phenomenon.

In short, The Baader Meinhof Effect happens when you develop a strong awareness of something you’ve never noticed before. There’s a whole background story on why it’s called Baader Meinhoff but we’re just focusing on the reason why I’m sharing this.

A week ago I was walking my dog around my neighborhood and noticed all of these beautiful butterflies fluttering around in hues of yellow and orange.

I thought nothing of it.

They were just butterflies.

I’ve seen them many times before, right?

Fast forward a couple of days later, I get a text message from a friend asking if I have seen a lot of butterflies latetly…
