Realizing the obvious and coming to terms with it.

Being completely open and honest with you and myself, traditional publishing is just not my thing.

The idea of getting your work noticed through really great and well-known publications is great but it makes me feel like I don’t have faith that my gift can hold up on its own.

This also goes beyond writing…

I perfer to do my own thing in a way that I think would be the most beneficial for me. I know what’s best for me. You know what is best for yourself. There’s nothing wrong with trusting our own voice.

Traditional publishing has its perks.

I like receiving positive and critical feedback from editors. I may not take their advice and change up my craft to their liking but I would highly appreciate their ideas and suggestions.

Traditional publishing has opened many doors for my work to reach a wide range of individuals in just a short time.

Personally, self-publishing my work and working for myself in general is what I truly enjoy. I make the decisions for myself and that’s the position where I am the most comfortable.

Don’t Give Up On Traditions
